Sweet Expectations News
Come and visit us during Sweeps Weekend.
The modern day Rochester Sweeps Festival is a colourful mix of music, dancing and entertainment with more than 60 Morris sides and entertainers celebrating throughout the three-day festival.
February saw the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens. Many programmes are featuring the Victorian author. We have appeared in the introduction to Songs of Praise, a news item about the filming of Edwin Drood and also BBC News South East.
At Sweet Expectations we pride ourselves on providing quality confectionery at competetive prices and our welcoming staff will strive to ensure you have a pleasurable shopping experience.
When you step inside the sense of being taken back in time overwhelms the senses, with over 250 jars of traditional loose sweets (sold by the quarter or 100g - your choice), handmade Kentish Fudge, Ice Cream, Cookies and Chocolates, Kentish Fruit Juices and old favourites such as Sherbet Dip Dabs, Caramac, Fizz Wizz, Sherbet Fountains and many others.
